DQ250 gearbox firmware
The DQ250 is a six-speed gearbox with a wet clutch. On older cars the software number often starts with 02E. On MQB the same gearbox type often uses 0D9. Those files are not interchangeable.
Which number to enter
Read the mechatronic label, not the gearbox name in an advert. The DQ250 catalog filter lists both 02E and 0D9. An exact number and version opens that one file.
When the VIN is needed
If the unit is dead and the label cannot be read, the body VIN shows the factory software for that car. On a car whose unit was already replaced, the factory VIN can point at a different number than the one fitted now.
DQ250 Immo Off
To move a unit onto another car, DQ250 Immo Off is made from your flash and EEPROM. There is no Gen 1 or Gen 2 choice: that choice exists only for the DQ200. The service costs 30 €.
Where to do this
A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.
Short answers
Are 02E and 0D9 both DQ250?
Yes. They are software numbers of this gearbox from different generations. Do not write one into a unit that needs the other.
Does the DQ250 have a dry clutch?
No. The dry clutch is the DQ200. The DQ250 is the wet six-speed.
Where do I look up the file?
The catalog, filter DQ250, or the VIN on the homepage when you do not have the software number.
