A donor unit on another car

A unit from another car brings its own VIN and its own immobilizer in the firmware. A factory file from the catalog, looked up by the new car's VIN, does not clear that link. For DQ200, DQ250, DQ381 and DQ500 the link is cleared by Immo Off, using a readout of that donor.

When you still need the catalog

When the donor's software is wiped or wrong, and you need to put back the number that belongs on this hardware. That is a separate 20 €, and a separate check of the number.

The VIN in the form

Always the VIN of the car receiving the unit. Do not enter the donor VIN.

Gearboxes without the form

DL501, DL382, DQ400, VL381 and VL380 do not go through Immo Off on the site. You can only search for a file in the catalog.

Where to do this

A firmware file from the catalog or by VIN costs 20 €. Immo Off together with the VIN change costs 30 €. The download button appears after payment and a copy is sent by email. If that version is not in the database, there is no button. Before writing, match the software number and version to the unit label.

Short answers

Do the donor and the car need the same gearbox?

Yes. A DQ200 does not become a DQ500 by a file or by Immo Off.

What does the transfer cost?

30 €.

Will the donor's catalog file work as the dump?

No. You need a readout of this unit.
